A few days ago I gave some book recommendations and Martin Luther King Day Lesson ideas. Today I have a few Martin Luther King Day Coloring Pages. As I said a few days ago, the books that are great for preschool/kindergarten to teach about Dr. King include
My First Biography: Martin Luther King, Jr. – This is a great easy to read and understand book. It is excellent book for preschoolers/kindergarten/first grade. Great for teaching MLK Jr and his contribution to American history.
The Story of Martin Luther King Jr – This little boardbook uses only approximately 200 words to tell about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and to explain, in simple terms, how he ended segegation in America. Perfect for preschool – but, great for Kindergarten too! Easy to read and understand.
I am Martin Luther King, Jr. (Ordinary People Change the World) -This book is more for first or second or even third and fourth grade. It is almost “comic book like”. Its style makes it a nice read for an older level but again is very easy to understand and explain. My 2nd and 4th grader both enjoy this book.
