St Patricks Day Writing Prompts
I love St. Patrick’s Day! In our home we definitely celebrate St. Patrick’s Day like a ‘real holiday.’ This year I am actually sending St. Patrick’s Day cards! I did not send Christmas cards because life was just too crazy…so, I think I will make it a yearly tradition to send St. Patrick’s Day cards! Anyway, today I have some St Patricks Day Writing Prompts that great for kindergarten, first or second grade! I modified the writing prompts so that they can be used for several different levels. The writing prompts have to do with leprachauns, rainbows and spring! Before you start writing, though, I want to suggest some great St. Patrick’s Day books. My children love Mr. Mischief and the Leprechaun and Twas the Night before St. Patrick’s Day. Both books are super cute and involve a pesky little Leprechaun. Here are some more of our favorites…

St Patricks Day Writing Prompts
This packet contains 20 different St Patricks Day writing prompts great to be used in kindergarten, first or second grade. As you know, kindergarten students do not really write much during the first weeks of school. Each writing prompts has 4 different pages you can use – one that has a picture with something to write, one they can write a full page prompt, one that you can cut the page in half and write a half page prompt and then one that the student can just draw. The drawing prompt allows the student to think about what they would write and put their thoughts into pictures. A picture is worth a thousand words! Pre-writing, writing prompts! The entire packet is 80+ pages long.
