There was an Old Lady who…

Hello! I’m Meeghan. I have my master’s in special education and I’m mommy to six little ones.  I wondered and worried if I could teach my struggling reader.   Sure I studied education in school, but, am I enough? Would I be able to reach her?  Would I be able to teach her?  
I had a book with word for word directions to help me teach reading.  Teaching Reading Made Easy was another tool in my box of goodies.  I felt good about getting started.  

And then it happened.  I’ll never forget the first time I saw that light bulb moment.  I knew that SHE KNEW THAT SHE WAS READING.   Her eyes got big, she started to grin.  She pointed to the words and read them confidently and eagerly.
“Do you want to read it again?”  I asked.
“Yes”, she nodded with a smile.
