Today I am going to give you a list of A TON of monthly lesson plan ideas for preschool and kindergarten. There is not only an exhaustive table of monthly lesson plan ideas below, but also an adorable “old lady” craft that can be used for any month of the year.
Easy Lesson for ANY month of the year
First let’s start with the Old Lady Craft! You are likely aware that there SO many different “Old Lady” books…Click here to see them all! One of my favorite things to do to help teach sequencing, and reading comprehension is to read the “There was an Old Lady who swallowed….” books.After reading the books, we make a paper bag craft and then sequence each of the things she swallows by adding them to her paper bag tummy.
Here is what you’ll need to make the there was an old lady who craft:
- There was an old lady who printable pack
- Paper bag (1 for each kid)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Brads
- Construction paper
- Plastic baggie
