Easy Lesson for ANY month of the year
First let’s start with the Old Lady Craft! You are likely aware that there SO many different “Old Lady” books…Click here to see them all! One of my favorite things to do to help teach sequencing, and reading comprehension is to read the “There was an Old Lady who swallowed….” books.
After reading the books, we make a paper bag craft and then sequence each of the things she swallows by adding them to her paper bag tummy.
Here is what you’ll need to make the there was an old lady who craft:
- There was an old lady who printable pack
- Paper bag (1 for each kid)
- Construction paper
- Plastic baggie
If you want all of the little cards that go into the activity, check out our printable pack!
In the printable pack you’ll find various things for the old lady to eat for every season. You will also find directions for the craft! There is the traditional set from the original poem, a set for St. Patrick’s Day, for fall, for Christmas, for back to school, for Halloween, for the summer, for winter, for Easter, and for Valentine’s Day. Your old lady can swallow something for every season!
